Please join Snowline on January 24th at the Jill Solberg Theater at Folsom High School, 1655 Iron Point Road to view a screening of Alive Inside. 

 This stirring documentary follows social worker Dan Cohen, founder of the nonprofit Music & Memory, as he fights against a broken healthcare system to demonstrate music’s ability to combat memory loss and restore a deep sense of self to those suffering from it. Rossato-Bennett visits family members who have witnessed the miraculous effects of personalized music on their loved ones, and offers illuminating interviews with experts including renowned neurologist and best-selling author Oliver Sacks (Musicophilia) and musician Bobby McFerrin. This is an uplifting exploration of music and the mind, ALIVE INSIDE’s inspirational and emotional story left audiences humming, clapping and cheering at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award. "See the film that has opened the hearts of millions. To foster a better understanding of Alzheimer’s Disease in our youth, all ages are invited and encouraged to attend. Through Fundraising efforts at the event we hope to be able to purchase multiple Alive Inside headsets to be donated to local low income seniors.
