for the following positions:
 

Thrift Store Manager, Placerville West Location
Five month temporary assignment, could lead to regular manager position
Fulltime - Exempt - Benefited

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Five (5) years retail experience, plus three (3) years management
experience
• Strong merchandising skills and ability to drive business
• Knowledgeable in estimating value of donated commercial, collectible
  and antique items preferred
• Understand retail concepts (gross/net, sales, markdowns, specials,
etc.)
• Extensive computer experience using Microsoft applications and retail
equipment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, think clearly and problem
solve
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build effective teams and motivate employees
• Valid CA driver's license, with an automobile that is insured in
accordance with state requirements and is in reliable working order

Essential Functions:
• Ensure smooth, efficient and profitable operation of store through
appropriate planning and implementation
• Enhance store income by identifying and implementing new revenue
opportunities; though, but not limited to; merchandising that reflects
Snowline stores’ image & the needs of the community within store 
demographics, networking with community and business members and
being active in a civic organization
• Achieve budgeted revenue goals, control and monitor expenses in line
with budget
• Determine best use of square footage for revenue enhancement and
make on-going adjustments as necessary
• Responsible for the cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of store's
interior/exterior and grounds
• Develop, implement and monitor capital expense budget to ensure store
is properly maintained
• In collaboration with the Manager of Retail Operations and Director of
Finance, annually formulate fiscal revenue, expense and profit goals for
store
• Follow and maintain appropriate procedures of cash handling such as
deposits, sales, data entry, over-short/percentage, petty cash and
complete required accounting reporting accurately and in a timely
manner
• Monitor loss prevention and store theft to protect the company’s
inventory and assets
• Work in collaboration with Snowline's Community Relations Department 
to develop, implement advertising and/or promotional activities that will
maximize store sales & assist in promoting Hospice fundraising efforts
as requested
• Continually assess the current market ensuring appropriate
merchandize for the area and clientele
• Recruit, hire, orient and train employees & recruit, orient and train
volunteers
• Delegate workload appropriately and effectively to employees and
volunteers including successful implementation of job rotation
• Ensure required volunteer to employee ratio
• Inspire employee/volunteer productivity, attitude and morale through
routine staff meetings, recognizing job performance and service
• Complete employee performance appraisals within Human Resource
guidelines
• Address employee performance issues in a timely manner and utilize
appropriate documentation
• Promote a teamwork environment through demonstrated ability to solve
problems and manage complex relationships
• Provide an "open door" policy where employee/volunteers are free to
express their ideas and concerns without fear of retribution
• Inspire volunteer productivity & satisfaction through regular volunteer
interaction, formalized meetings and service recognition through regular
store & organization-sponsored activities
• Ensure record information is kept on active volunteers
• Instill in employees/volunteers the meaning and importance of customer
  service by acting as a positive role model. Maintain training standards to
promote both product and systems knowledge that will improve store
operations and allow for superior customer service
• Collaborate regularly with other store managers to meet short and long-
range retail and company objectives
• Routinely interface with customers to identify their needs and address
their questions or concerns.
• Handle all issues and correspondence in a professional and courteous
manner
• Responsible for overall store safety assuring store is in compliance with
all safety policies, staff is adequately trained and safety issues are
abated quickly and thoroughly
• Work with Facility Safety Manager to implement or complete
safety/security tasks as needed and/or requested
• Follow appropriate procedures in reporting incidents, accidents &
injuries
• Arrange and oversee maintenance activities of outside contractors as
needed
• Ensure compliance with Federal & State labor, wage & hour laws and
Snowline’s policy and procedures
• Demonstrate positive behavioral characteristics such as initiative,
cooperation, adaptability, dependability and flexibility
• Follow safe work practices and use good body mechanics
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Registered Nurse – per diem
(open application period)

All Registered Nurse Positions Require

• 2 years acute care or comparable setting
• Computer experience
• CA RN license
• Current CPR certification
• CDL, auto & auto insurance
• Prior hospice experience, preferred

Hospice Aide or CNA to train
(open application period)
• Provide personal care to terminally ill patients in their home
• HHA certification required OR will consider training experienced CNA to
  obtain HHA certification. Home health experience preferred.
• Current CPR certificate
• CDL, auto & auto insurance
