2023 Battle Of The Badges

Snowline Hospice Battle of the Badges
Snowline Hospice is excited to announce the 4th annual Battle of the Badges, 911 Chili Cook-Off (BOB), on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 4 to 8 pm at the Forni Building, El Dorado County Fairgrounds.

This event includes over 22 First Responder agencies, Veterans, and other government-affiliated agencies competing for the “Best Culinarian” trophy. They will also compete for People’s Choice Chili, Best Booth, and Best Philanthropist by raising more dollars on their competitor’s websites.

We expect 2500 to 3000 guests, all enjoying a variety of homemade chili, local beer and wine, raffles, silent auction, business-sponsored booths, children’s activities, music, and live entertainment.

Snowline has a variety of opportunities for this event, including:

  • Auction item donations
  • Purchasing a vendor booth
  • Volunteering
  • Sponsoring
  • Be a guest! Tickets are now on sale for $25pp, and kids 12 and under are free. Starting 2/1/2023, prices go up to $35pp. (www.911chili.org)

Depending on your level of sponsorship, there are many benefits to sponsoring or becoming a vendor.

All proceeds from the BOB ensure that all families, including children and teens, get the bereavement support services needed when they experience the loss of a loved one. Funds also support our veteran’s services, palliative care, a nursing residency, and those un-housed in our community.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call Laurie at (530) 306-2314 or email lheyman@snowlinehospice.org or go to www.911chili.org.
