Patient and Family Support

Patient Care Volunteers are a vital part of the hospice team. They work in private homes and nursing homes by providing patients with companionship and a break to caregivers. These volunteers sit with patients, listen to their stories, read, play music or simply hold a hand. Their visits often give family members a much-needed break.

Office Support

These helping hands do general computer work, filing and assist with mailings. Like to get more involved?  Assigned-project volunteers support a particular administrative or clinical program by providing direct assistance and input in planning and carrying out projects.

Courier Volunteers

When family members cannot get to the pharmacy, courier volunteers will pick up and deliver medications to them. This desperately needed service saves both patient families and the organization a great deal of time and money.

Bereavement Support

These volunteers keep in touch with those who are grieving by making scheduled telephone calls. They also assist with support groups and the Children’s Grief program.

Thrift Store

Enjoy the hustle and bustle of a retail operation or have great office skills?  Retail volunteers sort, price, tag, display merchandise, refurbish computers, and assist in one of our administrative offices.  Interested?  Please contact store management for volunteer opportunities at your local store!

Special Projects

This group of volunteers works together on large mailings several times a year. The time commitment is minimal; however, the cost savings to Snowline is immense!

Pet Therapy

Pet therapy Volunteers and their animal partners are specially trained to work with patients to help foster a positive experience while increasing socialization and stress-reduction.  Pet therapy teams provide opportunities for mental stimulation and recall of pleasant memories that help improve patients’ outward focus.

Veterans Helping Veterans

Veterans are especially needed to assist with award ceremonies for our veteran patients and their families.  They are also needed to volunteer and offer emotional, practical, and social support one-on-one with their fellow veterans, and are welcome to volunteer in any area of the agency.

Our family thanks you so much for your care, kindness and attention to her emotional and spiritual needs. You brought comfort and peace.

Our prayers go with you as you care for others.
